Welcome to the website of Quakers in Esher. We've met in our Meeting House since it was built in 1797 and we welcome all.

Esher Meeting House is on Claremont Lane (the A244) just south of the junction with Esher High Street. Esher and Claygate stations are both 1 mile away, and the K3, 458 and 715 buses stop a few minutes walk away on Esher High Street. Unfortunately no parking, but there is a public car park opposite.

At Esher meeting we have re-started to meet again for worship indoors with suitable COVID secure measures.

If you wish to attend meeting on a Sunday we ask that you email our clerk (eqclerk@gmail.com) on the Friday before to book your attendance. This is because we can only welcome 9 people. We will record your contact details for the purpose of NHS Trace and Test. We will need your name and phone number, and will dispose of this record after 21 days.

Sunday meeting for worship will commence at 10.30 am and last for 45 mins. For the last 15 minutes we will remain in our seats in 'afterwords' or sharing thoughts arising in Meeting, other news/concerns, and clerk’s notices. Please be aware that we will need to wear face coverings during our visit to the meeting house. We have found that we can still joyfully give ministry while wearing the mask as long as we speak slowly, loudly and clearly.

Our Wednesday meeting for worship is at 12.30. There is no need to book for a Wednesday at the moment.

When confirming your booking our clerk will share the detail of all measures we are taking. A copy of our full risk assessment is also available on request.

All these measures mean that we have a rather different meeting than we are used to, but we rejoice in being present together.

Note that we are also contactable via this website and encourage those who are not able to attend meeting in person to sit in waiting worship at home at the usual worship times.

Keep well and live adventurously.
