Esher Quaker Meeting

Welcome to the website of Quakers in Esher. We've met in our Meeting House since it was built in 1797 and we welcome all.

Meeting for Worship takes place on Sundays at 10.30 for an hour, and on Wednesdays at 12.30 for 30 minutes. At present we are still wearing masks and socially distancing indoors. If you would like to attend a meeting at Esher or have any questions, please email eqclerk@gmail.com

Esher Meeting House is on Claremont Lane (the A244) just south of the junction with Esher High Street. Esher and Claygate stations are both 1 mile away, and the K3, 458 and 715 buses stop a few minutes walk away on Esher High Street. Unfortunately no parking, but there is a public car park opposite.

Hiring Rooms at the Meeting House

Esher Meeting House is a lovely C18th building in the middle of Esher, set in a peaceful garden. All rooms are well ventilated and very reasonably priced. For more information about hire rates, or if you would like to come and see the rooms, please email rebeccaprice.art@outlook.com.

The Meeting Room (8m x 8m) is suitable for lectures or memorial meetings and can seat 60 people (20 if socially distanced).

The Small Meeting Room (Library) (6m x 5.80m) is suitable for classes or meetings and can seat 25 people (12 if socially distanced). It is wood panelled and has a Broadwood piano, making it an ideal venue for instrument lessons or music rehearsals.

The Classroom (3m x 5.6m) is suitable for one-to-one tutoring or counselling sessions and has been Covid-adapted with a perspex screen dividing the room.
